Restored mid century modern chairs covered in Charlie fabric by The Vale London.
We are delighted to have collaborated with The Vale London for their show at Focus 25 at Design Centre. These chairs are newly upholstered in The Vale London’s ‘Charlie' in sky.
Crafted in Italy, Charlie offers a fresh take on traditional bouclé fabric. The wool incorporates bouclé yarns, softening the otherwise sharp geometric design to achieve a harmonious balance of texture and pattern.
The chairs are designed by the polish furniture designer Edmund Homa in the 1960s. Homa was a polish architect, designer of Industrial Design and interior architecture, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk where he worked under Ole Wanscher. His work won many awards and his pieces are sought after.
