The centrepiece of the bedroom
Headboards are a great feature as they can pull the colour palette of your bedroom together and can be created in a range of designs and fabrics.
The bed is often the focal point of the bedroom and to achieve a cohesive design it’s essential the headboard is not overlooked. Also, as well as being the bedroom centrepiece, headboards offer comfort and can leave the whole room feeling more cosy.
This interesting shaped headboard was a commission we created for a client’s spare bedroom in Hampshire. Using a large scale pattern on a headboard can be risky but in this case it worked beautifully - the orange fabric by Thibaut was a fabulous way to include pattern in the bedroom and the curtains were made in a complementary fabric by Korla.
The silk headboard, made with fabric by James Hare, in this guest bedoom was made to measure in a curved shape and is a great example of a headboard bringing the room colour palette together.
These padded headboards in Rapture & Wright’s Madder Pink fabric are a fantastic feature in this pretty room and a versatile design as the spare bed can be used as singles or as a kingsize depending on who is coming to stay.
Westcot House offers a bespoke upholstery service and can create a padded headboard in any shape, size and fabric from scratch. This can be created as a one off piece or as a feature in one of our complete design packages - from choosing paint colours through to designing beautiful home furnishings, we can help create interiors that will last a lifetime.
