Curtains on a covered lath

A covered lath is a brilliant solution when there isn't a lot of room above the window reveal for a pole, or when you have an awkward shaped window, as here. The ceiling sloped away right above the window, so there was no way we could use a pole here. My fitter created a covered lath that fitted neatly into the window recess and provided a really elegant solution. The curains have handmade triple pleats with blackout lining and the side of the curtain is returned to the wall, to ensure no light escapes at all providing a dark bedroom. The lath is covered in Flanders Linen by Sarah Hardaker, and the curtain fabric is by Veere Grenney.

‘Tor is a pleasure to work with. She always interprets a commission exactly as you have imagined it, or sometimes with a new twist, and always in good time. She has done fantastic work turning my tapestry work into luxurious, quirky cushions.’
