Bespoke window seat and cushions for a hallway

I was asked to make a window seat for the hallway of a country cottage which had a deep seat and window sill behind. The seat was not symmetrical, with one end shorter than the other, so I had a feather pad made to match the shape of the seating area. The fabric chosen was Ian Mankin Kintyre Check and the window seat was piped in a Romo Linara to match the deeper brown in the fabric for the piping. Feather cushions to complement the colour scheme in Ian Mankin Arran fabric, backed with the same Roma Linara completed the look. Now its an inviting cosy sitting area with a pretty garden view!

‘Tor is a pleasure to work with. She always interprets a commission exactly as you have imagined it, or sometimes with a new twist, and always in good time. She has done fantastic work turning my tapestry work into luxurious, quirky cushions.’
